The
Brockport Police Explorer Program is for youth between the ages of 14 and 20 who
are interested in a career in law enforcement. The Explorers learn
about the everyday activities of a Police Officers job through class room
activities, role plays, and field trips. The Explorers are utilized in traffic
control during Village parades, and play an important role in community events
such as National Night Out, the Sidewalk Sale and the Arts Festival. One of
the goals of the Explorer program is to help prepare an individual for entry
into the Police Academy. The way the program is conducted is very similar to
how the Police Academy is run with respect to standards of dress, personal
conduct, and the training/learning activities. Any youth interested in
participating in Explorer Post may contact Officer Tyler Dawson at 637-1020 Ext
65 or
