July 12th through July 25th, 2010

July 16, 2010:

Police arrested 23-year-old Richard A. Lissow of 4080 Charro Dr., Colorado Springs, CO, on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Lissow posted $250 cash bail and was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Sweden Town Court.

On July 16, 2010 a property owner reported damage the front window of their Market St. address, occurring sometime between July 13th and July 16th, 2010.

July 17, 2010

Police arrested 27-year-old Andrew D. Schoff, of 10 Lynnwood Dr. Brockport on a Sweden Town Court Bench Warrant for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, a Misdemeanor, as well as other related traffic offenses. Schoff was remanded to the Monroe County Jail on a $250 cash/$500 bond.

Police arrested 45-year-old Bonnie L. Kalpin of 40 Heinz St. in Hilton, NY on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, as well as other related traffic offenses. Kalpin was issued traffic summonses returnable to the Sweden Town Court.

July 18, 2010:

Police arrested 25-year-old Miguel Rodriguez of 112 Woodlands Way, Brockport, on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, as well as other related traffic offenses. Rodriguez was issued traffic summonses returnable to Sweden Town Court.

Police arrested 31-year-old Francisco J. Guerrero of 25 Clinton St. Brockport, on Misdemeanor charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd, Operating with a Suspended Registration, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree and other related traffic offenses. Guerrero was remanded to the Monroe County Jail on a $1,000 cash/ $5000 bond. Guerrero is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

July 20, 2010:

A Fayette St. resident reported damage to their trampoline, which possibly occurred sometime between July 14, 2010 and July 17, 2010.

July 21, 2010:

A Fair St. resident was issued a Village Code citation due to minor injuries inflicted by a their dog towards another Fair St. resident.

A Lyman St. resident reported theft of a decorative lawn ornament from the front yard. This possibly occurred sometime between 7/19 and 7/21/2010.

July 22, 2010:

A Bath, NY complainant reported being bitten by a dog while visiting a Union St., Brockport resident. The complainant suffered minor injuries and was treated at Lakeside Hospital.

July 25, 2010:

A Spring St. property owner reports that sometime between 7/16 and 7/25/10 a unknown suspect forcibly entered the apartment, causing $1,500 damage to the door frame. An air compressor, battery charger, and orbital sander were reported stolen. The apartment was vacant at the time of the incident.

The Brockport Police responded to 493 calls for service between July 12th and July 25th, 2010, 8674 calls to date.

July 25th through August 1st, 2010

July 25th, 2010:

A Spring Street landlord reported burglary and theft of construction/remodeling equipment including an air compressor and orbital sander from the apartment house sometime between July 6th and 25th, 2010.

July 27th, 2010:

A Union Street resident reported a bicycle stolen from the front porch sometime between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m.

A Clark Street business was burglarized at about 9:50 p.m.  Witnesses reported seeing hearing loud noises and seeing a gray two door car with several males in it parked in the driveway of the building, a former auto repair garage.  The vehicle and suspects fled prior to police arrival.  The investigation is continuing.

The Brockport Police responded to 280 calls for service between July 25th and August 1st, 2010, 8955 calls to date.

August 2nd through August 8th, 2010

August 2nd, 2010:

A Hamlin resident reported being assaulted by her former boyfriend while at a West Avenue residence about 1:15 am.  A warrant is being sought for the arrest of the suspect on charges of Assault, 3rd Degree, a Misdemeanor.

August 3rd, 2010:

A Monroe Avenue resident reported theft of a bicycle from a detached garage.  The bike was later recovered on Fair Street.

August 7th, 2010:

A West Avenue resident reported criminal trespass, criminal mischief, and harassment, by a known suspect, who entered the apartment and began fighting with a guest of the homeowner.  The victim declined prosecution for the criminal offenses, and the suspect was issued an appearance ticket for Harassment 2nd Degree, a Violation, in regards to the struggle.

A Lyman Street resident reported burglary and theft of a Weed Eater lawn mower from a shed in the back yard, occurring some time between 7 p.m. and 4:15 am.

The Brockport Police responded to 259 calls for service between August 2nd and August 8th, 2010, 9214 calls to date.

August 10th through August 22nd, 2010

August 11th, 2010:

A Holley Street resident reported graffiti painted on the side of her house sometime between 1 am. and 11 am.

August 12th, 2010:

A Hamlin resident visiting Villager Apartments on North Main Street reported theft of a wallet containing cash and credit cards from an unlocked vehicle parked between 3 p.m. and 10:50 p.m.

August 13th, 2010:

Police arrested Jerome Roberts, Jr., 25 years old of 372 Glenwood Ave., Rochester, on charges of Criminal Mischief, 3rd Degree, a Felony, following an incident on Queen Street at Clinton Street at about 4:30 am.  Damage was done to a vehicle which was also involved in a collision with damage to property at 31 Clinton Street during the same time period.  Roberts was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Sweden Town Court.

August 15th, 2010:

Police arrested Terrence T. Freeman, 19 years old of 26 St. Katherine Way, Clarkson, on charges of Criminal Possession of Marijuana, 5th Degree, a Misdemeanor, as well as traffic offenses.  Freeman was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Sweden Town Court.

Owner of an Erie Street apartment house reported criminal mischief to furnishings inside the residence by a known suspect.  The landlord declined prosecution.

August 16th, 2010:

A High Street resident reported theft of a PowerWheels electric go-cart and Pack-n-Play playpen from the front porch sometime between 6 am. and 6 p.m.

August 18th, 2010:

Police discovered criminal mischief to the exterior of several windows on the property at 31 Clinton Street at about 1 am.  An Evidence Technician was able to recover fingerprints and the investigation is continuing.

August 20th, 2010:

Police arrested David C. Taylor, 26 years old of 101 Locust Dr., Hamlin, on charges of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic offenses.  Taylor was issued traffic summonses returnable to the Sweden Town Court.

Police arrested Joseph M. Beales, 29 years old of 191 Student Lane, Brockport, on charges of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Felony, as well as other traffic offenses.  Beales was arraigned in the Sweden Town Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail.

August 21st, 2010:

Police arrested Katherine E. Preston, 23 years old of 86 Valleyview Dr., Brockport (Clarkson), on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic offenses.  Preston was issued traffic summonses returnable to the Sweden Town Court.

August 22nd, 2010:

A King Street resident reported unauthorized use of a vehicle when his 2007 Honda color silver was taken sometime between 2 p.m. on the 21st and 5 am. on the 22nd.  The vehicle was later recovered in the Town of Ogden and returned to the owner.

A Clark Street resident reported criminal mischief and theft of prescription medication from his locked vehicle.  A window was broken to gain entry to the vehicle, parked in the driveway between 10:30 p.m. and 9 am.

The Brockport Police responded to 550 calls for service between August 9th and August 22nd, 2010, 9764 calls to date.
